FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31, ON FOX
Annual Special to Include Live Coverage of the Ball Drop from New York City
and Performances from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas
Emmy Award-winning TV personality Nancy O’Dell will stay up late to host the biggest celebration of the year and ring in 2011 on NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE airing Friday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET live; CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. O’Dell will help count down to 2011 during the ultimate year-end bash featuring the year’s chart-topping musical guests.
As 2011 nears, FOX cameras will capture every electrifying moment from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and the heart of New York City as the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball makes its descent into Times Square. Musical guests and additional participants scheduled to appear will be announced.
“I am so excited to ring in New Year's Eve from Las Vegas on FOX,” said O’Dell. “This experience will be an anomaly of sorts for me. Is she still HOT ?
I am glad that this is tape-delayed to match each of the time zones. Even though I will not watch it, it is considerate of them to do that.
I love Nancy O’Dell…so classy and incredibly gorgeous. And, yes, she’s still hot! And she’s so good at what she does. Nice to have such a fun option for New Year’s Eve. I’ll be watching for sure!
Oprah did good picking Nancy to host a show on OWN…a class act for what’s to be a classy network! This New Year’s Special should be fun too! Nancy O’Dell…you go girl!
I just love that Nancy O’Dell. I wonder what else she has up her pretty little sleeve?!
Happy New Year from Down under Melbourne Australia
Please tell me that is not an ANIMAL SKIN she is wearing.
FOX is abusing its social responsibility to our country by programming Nancy O’Dell to wear a fur coat on the New Year’s Eve show and even disgustingly emphasizing its delivery by a practically nude man and her gloating over the coat over and over again. This is a highly publicized example of extreme cruelty to animals who cannot protect themselves. Millions of impressionable people are watching your NYE program– many of them young– and you have the nerve to bring out a full length fur coat. Why not just drape Nancy O’Dell in dead animals?
There are millions of people fighting daily for better treatment of our valued animal population. You have not heard the last of this–I’m sure many in your viewing audience feel the same way. I sincerely hope other viewers will follow their beliefs and speak out about this violation of our obligation to the fellow inhabitants of our planet. I and millions of others will stop viewing your programming and encourage others to stop. You are disgusting!
I enjoyed the portion of the show, until they brought out the fur coat for Nancy O’Dell. She could have worn any other warm coat, but really a fur? This was disgusting and insulting to me and I’m sure many viewers feel the same. I think a public apology is in order.
I have changed the channel immediately after seeing Nancy wearing a fur coat. Absolutely shameless and disgusting. Everything we’ve achieved in animal welfare in 2010,.. How dare you?
REALLY??! nancy: “what’s your most crazy new year’s story?” random girl: “i was really drunk….” REALLY??! nancy: “what’s your cure for a hangover?” REALLY??! disgusting. you should be ashamed.
We were at this show and would like to clarify that Nancy O’Dell was wearing a FAKE FUR COAT and this was announced on the show. She was very clear that she was not in favor of real fur.
We were at this show as well last night and it was FREEZING outside. Nancy said numerous times that it was about 27F. So for her to wear a fur coat which was FAKE was totally reasonable. She ecplained that it was a faux fur coat. Anyway, my husband and I thought the show was amazing and she did a great job!
So glad no animal had to die for her to look so good!! Thanks for the post.
should have been real fur….ohh well
