MLS Cup 2010 on ESPN HD, ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile TV

FC Dallas vs. Colorado Rapids Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET, Live from BMO Field in Toronto

ESPN will conclude coverage of Major League Soccer’s 15th season with MLS Cup 2010 between FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids Sunday, Nov. 21, at 8:30 p.m. ET, live from BMO Field in Toronto.

FC Dallas, led by league MVP finalist David Ferreira and goalkeeper Kevin Hartman, will make the team’s first appearance in Major League Soccer’s title match.  Colorado Rapids, featuring former U.S. Men’s National Team player Pablo Mastroeni, will be making their second MLS Cup appearance since 1997, a 1-2 loss to DC United in a classic match at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

Ian Darke, ESPN’s lead soccer play-by-play commentator, will make his Major League soccer debut with soccer Hall of Famer and former captain of the U.S. Men’s National Team John Harkes providing analysis.  Rob Stone will report from the sidelines.

ESPNEWS anchor Max Bretos will make his ESPN MLS Cup debut as host of on-site studio segments, before and after the match and at halftime, joined by former U.S. National Team defender Alexi Lalas and former England and Liverpool FC star Steve McManaman providing analysis.  McManaman will also make his MLS Cup debut Sunday.

MLS Cup 2010 TV highlights:

  • 24 cameras, including two super slo-mo cameras, three robotic cameras, steadicam and a Jib cam;
  • Offside Line, which displays a virtual line affixed to the last defender to show viewers whether the referee’s offside decision is accurate on replays;
  • Halftime interview with MLS Commissioner Don Garber;
  • A feature on FC Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman, whose spectacular play between the post has led Dallas to its first MLS Cup appearance.
