U.S. Version of ‘Top Gear’ On History Premieres to 1.9 Million
Last night’s premiere averaged 1.1 million adults 18-49 (a 0.8 rating) and 1.9 million total viewers.

NEW YORK, November 22, 2010 – HISTORY® continues its phenomenal ratings success as the network premieres Top Gear to nearly two million viewers as well as 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 25-54, this past Sunday evening. This is the network’s seventh series debut above 1.0 million in key demos Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 in 2010. As well, Top Gear’s key target demo of Men 18-49, saw an increase of 19% vs. its lead in.

The U.S. version of TOP GEAR, produced by BBC Worldwide Productions and a co-production between HISTORY and BBC Worldwide, showcases an offbeat celebration of automobiles and driving, airs Sundays at 10pm, and is hosted by comedian and car buff Adam Ferrara, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.
