Thanksgiving Eve: How Will Broadcast Originals Like ‘The Middle’ and ‘Modern Family’ Do?

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Last week I brought up the broadcast originals airing tonight in reference to the penultimate episode of Terriers (10p ET/PT on FX) airing tonight.  The night before Thanksgiving typically has less TV viewing than normal, and that’s the reason that, for example, that USA isn’t airing a new episode of Psych tonight.

But there’s new content to be found on the broadcast networks tonight with ABC running new episodes of its entire Wednesday comedy block and Fox is running new episodes of Human Target and Hell’s Kitchen.  How will those shows  do with adults 18-49?  Here are my guesses:

The Middle:  2.0

Better With You: 1.6

Modern Family: 3.2

Cougar Town: 2.2

Human Target:  1.3

Hell’s Kitchen:  2.3

CBS is running a Survivor clip show and repeats of its Wednesday 9p-11p shows.  NBC is running a holiday special and a special The Biggest Loser, that because it’s the special “makeovers” episode, I’m not guessing at.
