CBS NEWS’ “SUNDAY MORNING” POSTS BEST NOVEMBER SWEEP DELIVERY IN HOUSEHOLDS SINCE 2005 AND VIEWERS SINCE 1994 AND MARKS ITS 100th CONSECUTIVE WEEK AS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM
On November 21, 2010, SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.7/10 with 5.32m viewers, 1.3/07 in adults 25-54 according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings, marking its 100th consecutive week as the #1 Sunday morning news program. Closing out the November 2010 Sweep, SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (3.6/10 from 3.4/09) and +4% in viewers (5.26m from 5.05m) compared to last November – its best November sweep delivery in households since 2005 and viewers since 1994.
Compared to the same day last year, SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (from 3.5/10), +2% in viewers (from 5.22m). Season-to-date, the broadcast is up +3% in households (3.5/10 from 3.4/09) and +1% in viewers (5.03m from 4.99m) compared to last season.
SUNDAY MORNING (21), anchored by Charles Osgood, presented its annual “Food Issue,” which featured correspondent Tracy Smith’s report on the history of dieting, correspondent Martha Teichner’s profile of the Vegetable Orchestra of Vienna, correspondent Russ Mitchell’s tour of America’s best cheesecake bakeries and Bill Geist’s visit to New Orleans for a taste of the town’s beloved “Po-Boy” sandwiches.
