“Cord Cutting” Less Myth, More Numbers: TV Service Subscribers Fall For 2 Quarters In A Row

Robert had a post on this earlier, but here are the detailed numbers.

For the second quarter in a row the total number of subscribers to TV service providers fell (Q2 -151,000; Q3 -174,000).

How many of those losses are due to the economy and how many are due to the often discussed “cord cutting” “trend” is anyone’s guess. Within the overall numbers, cable providers continue to lose customers, and telco and satellite providers continue to gain them.
