As it skirts the "toss up" line between renewal and cancellation, CBS is giving CSI:Miami a 3 week shot at the 8pm Sunday timeslot on January 2, 9 and 16. (one repeat and two new episodes it seems)

I'm not sure if CBS is scheduled to have the late afternoon national NFL game on January 2 or not. And the January 9 NFL Wild-Card schedule is completely up in the air, so CBS may or may not have a late game that day, same with the NFL Divisional round games on January 16. So, all the fans worried about football kicking around CSI:Miami will still have to worry for awhile, just earlier in the evening.
