ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 4.96 million Total Viewers and a 1.6/11/1.95 million among Adults 25-54 for the week of December 13, 2010.  This marks “GMA’s” best total viewer delivery since February 2008 and best A25-54 delivery of the season so far.

On the first anniversary since the new anchor team was announced, versus the same weeks the prior year, “GMA” is the only morning program to hold its total viewing audience, while NBC and CBS are down. Additionally, “GMA” grew the most (+8%) in Total Viewers compared to the same week last year, while NBC’s “Today” declined -3% and CBS’ “Early Show” increased +6%. In fact, “GMA” has increased versus the same week last year in Total Viewers in 11 of 13 weeks this season.

Season to date, the program also grew the most (+4%) in Total Viewers while NBC’s “Today” declined -4% and CBS’ “Early Show” increased +1%.

Week to week, “GMA” increased the most among both A25-54 (+11%) and Total Viewers (+6%) versus CBS and NBC. “GMA” cut the total viewing gap with “Today” by -10% and the demo gap by -12% week to week. Compared to the same week last year, “GMA” shrank the total viewing gap with “Today” by -37%.

Versus the prior week, “GMA” expanded its demo (730,000) and total viewing (1,930,000) leads over “Early Show” by +55% and +21%, respectively. “GMA’s” demo lead over CBS was the largest season to date (since week of May 3, 2010). “GMA’s” total viewing lead over “Early Show” was +12% larger versus the same week last year.

The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
