BCS FOOTBALL CHAMPION AND HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER CAM NEWTON SET TO APPEAR ON NBC'S 'THE Tonight Show WITH JAY LENO' TUESDAY (JANUARY 11)

BURBANK, Calif. – January 10, 2011 – Newly crowned BCS football Champion Cam Newton, the Heisman Trophy winner and Auburn quarterback, will take a seat on the couch of NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (Monday-Friday, 11:35 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, January 11.

On Monday, January 10, the junior Newton led the #1 ranked Auburn Tigers to a dramatic victory over the #2 Oregon Ducks in college football's ultimate match-up.  Much speculation continues as to whether the BCS championship game would be the top-ranked quarterback’s last college contest.  The deadline for qualified underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft is January 15.

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” is from Big Dog Productions in association with Universal Media Studios.  Debbie Vickers is the executive producer.
