WENDY WILLIAMS TO MAKE TWO APPEARANCES ON

ABC DAYTIME’S “One Life To Live” IN MARCH 2011

How you doin’, Llanview? Talk show host Wendy Williams will make her soap opera debut when she appears on ABC Daytime’s “One Life To Live” on MARCH 2 and MARCH 28. Williams will play talk show host Phyllis Rose. Paternity switches, kidnapping and incarceration are just a few of the scandals threatening to disgrace Llanview’s most prestigious family, and Phyllis Rose will delve into all the gossip and rumors when she hosts “Access Llanview: The Buchanans, A Family Under Siege.”

“If it’s happening in entertainment and pop culture, then Wendy Williams is talking about it and having a good time doing it,” said Executive Producer Frank Valentini. “She is the perfect person to play Phyllis, and we are looking forward to her bringing the energy and fun that she brings to her own talk show to ‘One Life To Live.’”

Wendy Williams burst onto the national talk show scene in July 2009 with the launch of her daily, syndicated program, “The Wendy Williams Show.” A mother, wife and best-selling author, Williams built a devoted cult following from her years as one of radio’s most popular personalities, winning over legions of fans who couldn’t wait to see the host make her television debut. She was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame (only the second African American woman to be honored by the organization) in November 2009. As an author, she has written bestsellers, Wendy’s Got the Heat, The Wendy Williams Experience, as well as several novels, including her most recent, Harper Goes to Hollywood, the third installment in her series of Ritz Harper novels. Williams’ previous television work included a VH1 series entitled “Wendy Williams is on Fire.”

Emmy® Award-winning “One Life To Live,” created by Agnes Nixon, was launched on July 15, 1968. Frank Valentini is executive-producer. Ron Carlivati is headwriter. The popular drama consistently ranks among the top five in the key demographic of Women 18-49. “One Life To Live” airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (2:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
