CBS NEWS' "FACE THE NATION" POSTS ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE SINCE FEB. 7, 2010

"Face the Nation" Beats ABC in Viewers

"Face the Nation" Is Up +14% in Households, Viewers and Adults 25-54,

Year-to-Year

CBS News' FACE THE NATION posted its largest audience since Feb. 7, 2010, beating ABC in viewers and tying for second (with ABC) in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011.  FACE THE NATION posted a 2.4/06 with 3.40m viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54.  The broadcast has bested ABC in viewers 21 of the last 24 weeks.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +14% each in households (from 2.1/05), viewers (from 2.98m) and adults 25-54 (from 0.7/03).

On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Representative Steny Hoyer, D-Maryland; Senator Chuck Schumer, D-New York; Senator Jon Kyl, R-Arizona; CBS News' Nancy Cordes, Congressional Correspondent; Jan Crawford, Chief Legal Correspondent; and Bob Orr, Justice and Homeland Security Correspondent.

FACE THE NATION is broadcast Sundays (10:30-11:00 AM, ET; check local listings) on the CBS Television Network.  Carin Pratt is the Executive Producer.
