Of course the most-watched AFC Championship game ever between the Jets and Steelers came out on top with total viewers and adults 18-49 with 54.9 million viewers and a 19.7 adults 18-49 rating. American Idol might be down, but it wasn't out as both the Wednesday and Thursday premieres topped everything besides the Jets-Steelers game and its post-game coverage.
The special Hawaii Five-0 that ran after the AFC Championship was the week's top scripted program with adults 18-49, a full ratings point ahead of Modern Family. With total viewers, NCIS was the top scripted program with over 21 million viewers.
