Note that our source for Live+7 DVR ratings includes only original, regular programs, excluding both repeats (which are unlikely to be heavily DVR viewed) and "specials". There were 40 such programs in the list for the week below, only about half the full schedule of new broadcast episodes.
The seventeenth week of the broadcast season (January 10-16) had Grey's Anatomy and Parenthood on top our rankings for the week's DVR viewing added between the Live+Same Day period reported in all our other ratings posts and the Live + 7 Day measurement periods.
Grey's Anatomy lead all shows for adults 18-49 ratings added after airdate via DVR viewing, adding 1.5 adults 18-49 ratings points to its Live+Same Day adults 18-49 ratings.
Parenthood topped the % adults 18-49 ratings increase from DVR viewing, adding 41% to its Live+Same Day adults 18-49 ratings.
Grey's Anatomy also topped the absolute average viewership gained from DVR viewing, adding 2.813 million average viewers via DVR viewing between the Live+Same Day and Live + 7 day measurement periods.
These Live+7 day program ratings mean nothing more to the network advertising revenues or the renewal prospects of your favorite shows that the Live + Same Day ratings we had more than two weeks ago didn't already tell us. If you'd like to learn why, read Network Jedi Mind Tricks: Live+7 Ratings And Your Favorite Show.
Unfortunately, those Mind Tricks still work on some people.

Definitions:
DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.
Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.
Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate
Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.
