Last night, NBC's 8:30pm Perfect Couples ratings fell hard, and low, down 18% to just a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. Other non-Friday NBC shows that have fallen that low this season have been removed from their timeslots before the end of their episode orders (Undercovers, Chase).
Problem is, with spring premiere shows there's usually not much on the bench to pull into the line up other than repeats.
The NBC comedy Love Bites might have been an option, but the buzz now has it unlikely to reach the air. Commenters have reminded me that LB is a one hour show.
However, NBC's second best rated scripted show of the Fall (Outsourced) was shipped off to 10:30 in the Spring in the schedule juggling to make room for Parks & Recreation and Perfect Couples. It hasn't set the night on fire at 10:30pm, but it's holding up a lot better than Perfect Couples.
I'm not going to be surprised one bit if NBC soon announces that Outsourced and Perfect Couples are swapping timeslots.
