NBA Digital to Deliver More Than 95 Hours of Coverage on NBA TV for NBA All-Star 2011 in Los Angeles

Multi-platform Coverage to Include Exclusive Live Video Chats on NBA.com with NBA All-Stars and NBA TV analysts and Extensive Social Media Integration through NBA Turnstile Check-In Application –

Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos and Actor Nick Cannon To Report from T-Mobile Magenta Carpet at NBA All-Star 2011 on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 5-7 p.m. (ET) NBA Digital will guide fans through a star-studded NBA All-Star 2011 by providing more than 95 hours of All-Star programming on NBA TV, exclusive live video chats with NBA All-Stars and NBA TV analysts on NBA.com, and extensive social media integration - including rewarding fans for “checking in” to All-Star events through NBA Turnstile, the first professional sports multiplatform check-in application.

For the first time ever, fans will be able to chat live with NBA All Star Weekend participants and marquee NBA TV talent during the NBA’s biggest weekend. NBA All-Star Weekend participants and NBA TV talent Kevin McHale, Dennis Scott and Brent Barry will answer fans questions about the weekend’s festivities live on Friday, Feb. 18, on NBA.com.

To build anticipation to the 2011 NBA All Star Game in Los Angeles, NBA TV will present the T-Mobile Magenta Carpet at NBA All-Star 2011. This two-hour live special on Sunday, Feb. 20, starting at 5 p.m (ET), will feature players and celebrities walking the magenta carpet and participating in interviews with Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos and NBA TV analyst Rick Fox. In addition, actor and TV personality Nick Cannon will conduct interviews with players and celebrities from the main stage. Matt Winer will host alongside analysts Brent Barry, Chris Webber, Steve Smith and Dennis Scott. NBA.com will also feature an alternate camera angle of the event.

NBA Mobile will bring the action to the fan’s fingertips through NBA Turnstile, its first professional sports multiplatform check-in application. NBA Turnstile will combine virtual and location-based check-ins for fans during All-Star, allowing them to receive special All-Star virtual badges, earn NBA prizes, and chat with other fans. The check-in application will connect fans via social media platforms, including FourSquare, Gowalla, Twitter, Facebook, and Fanvibe, and reward them for attending All-Star events in person or watching live on television.

NBA TV at All-Star:
David Stern All-Star Press Conference - The network will present NBA Commissioner David Stern’s All-Star press conference live on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. (ET), which will lead up to TNT’s exclusive presentation of NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm.

East and West All-Star Practices and Programming – NBA TV will provide fans exclusive access to All-Star programming all day on Saturday, Feb. 19, starting with the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown at 12:30 p.m. (ET), All-Star East and West Practices at 1:30 p.m. (ET), followed by the 2011 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by SonoSite at 5 p.m. (ET) and the NBA TV All Star Weekend Presented by Kia Motors at 11 p.m. (ET). Fans will also have the opportunity to catch special All-Star episodes of The Jump, The Beat, and NBA Gametime during the weekend.

Slam Dunk Marathon – Celebrating Slam Dunk champions over the past 25 years, the network will air the Dunk-A-Thon Presented by Sprite beginning at Noon on Thursday, Feb. 17, as a buildup to this year’s festivities. The marathon will feature every slam dunk competition since 1985, along with a special presentation of the first slam dunk contest during the 1976 ABA All-Star Game, which featured Julius Erving’s mesmerizing dunk from the foul line.
