With most of the cable world taking Sunday night off from a new night of programming, ESPN's post-game Super Bowl coverage led cable with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.
Outside of ESPN, the Super Bowl wasn't particularly friendly to HBO and Showtime, who braved the chilly waters.
Big Love shed nearly a quarter of its viewers from last week, but through the magic of rounding, maintained last week's 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Californication shed more than a third of its viewers and dropped 0.1 with adults 18-49 to a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating. Episodes was in the same boat .
All things considered, Shameless did a good job relatively, but couldn't quite make it to a million viewers. It was down from last week's 1.11 million viewers and 0.6 adults 18-49 rating to 953,000 viewers and a 0.4 rating in adults 18-49.
