Univision Ranks as the #3 Broadcast Network in Overall Primetime

For the Entire Week Among ALL Adults 18-34, Beating NBC, CBS and CW

Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 01/31/11

•     Univision finished the week as the #3 broadcast network in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 (956,000), beating NBC by +5%, CBS by +19% and CW by +40%.  Additionally, Univision ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (441,000), #4 among Teens 12-17 (212,000) and came in at #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.7 million).

•       Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and on every night among Teens 12-17.

•       For the week, Univision had 8 of the Top 30 Programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-34 and 4 of the Top 30 among Teens 12-17.

•     Twenty weeks into the 2010-11 Season, Univision continues to be the broadcast network with the highest primetime audience increases versus the comparable period in the prior season among Adults 18-49 (+8%), Adults 18-34 (+6%) and Adults 25-54(+7%).

•     On Friday night, Univision was the #1 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (276,000); and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (2.0 million).

•     The Top 2 most-watched broadcast programs on Friday night among Adults 18-34 were Univision’s #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love)” and #2 “Eva Luna”.

•     In the 8pm hour, “Eva Luna” made Univision the #2 ranked broadcast network, behind FOX, among Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Women 18-34 (712,000).

•     “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) helped Univision attain the #3 rank in the M-F/9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Women 18-34 (783,000); beating its closest competitor, FOX, by +6% and +21%, respectively.

•     Last week, Univision’s 10pm checker-board block made it the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (847,000) and Teens 12-17 (213,000).

•     On Saturday night, “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (595,000) and Teens 12-17 (121,000); and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (1.1 million).

•     On Super Bowl Sunday, Univision was the #2 broadcast network in primetime with 1.0 million Adults 18-49, 540,000 Adults 18-34 and 501,000 Men 18-49.  Additionally, Univision ranked #3 among Teens 12-17 (101,000) on Sunday night beating NBC and CBS.
