“THIS WEEK WITH CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR” GROWS YEAR-TO-YEAR IN KEY A25-54 DEMOGRAPHIC

“THIS WEEK” #2 IN ADULTS 25-54 FOR SECOND WEEK

On February 13, 2011, ABC News’ “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” drew 2.21 million Total Viewers and 820,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” stood as the No. 2 public affairs program in the key adult news demographic on Sunday, beating CBS’ “Face the Nation” by 80,000 viewers.

For the second consecutive Sunday, “This Week” experienced year-to-year growth (2/13/10) in Adults 25-54 (+3%). “This Week” stood as the only public affairs program to grow year-to-year in Adults 25-54 (CBS’ “Face the Nation” -16%, NBC’s “Meet the Press” -19%).

On Sunday, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, and Egyptian ambassador to the U.S. Sameh Shoukry joined anchor Christiane Amanpour on “This Week.” Robert Kagan of the Brookings Institution, Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, Egyptian journalist Mona Eltahawy, and ABC News’ George Will joined Ms. Amanpour for the roundtable discussion.

Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week” and James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
