OLYMPIC MEDALISTS SASHA COHEN & TANITH BELBIN & BEN AGOSTO THIS SATURDAY ON NBC
NEW YORK – February 17, 2011 – 2006 Olympic silver medalists Sasha Cohen and Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto headline the “Hilton HHonors Presents Riverdance on Ice” this Saturday at 4 p.m. ET from the Tsongas Center at Umass Lowell in Lowell, Mass. The show is a part of the Pandora NBC Skating Series, produced by Disson Skating in conjunction with NBC. Commentary will be provided by Olympic gold medalists Nancy Kerrigan and Michelle Kwan.
Joining Cohen and Belbin and Agosto is 2010 Olympic bronze medalist Joannie Rochette, 2006 Olympic bronze medalist Jeffrey Buttle, 1996 World Champion Todd Elredge, three-time U.S. champion Michael Weiss and two-time U.S. medalist Emily Hughes among others.
Providing entertainment for the show is the world renowned Riverdance. Riverdance weaves Celtic mythology and Irish history through traditional step-dancing. The original international phenomenon Riverdance debuted in February, 1995 at the Point Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.
US SNOWBOARDCROSS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, SATURDAY, 2 PM ET
NBC Sports presents taped coverage of the Sprint US Snowboardcross National Championships at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
Competing in the event are 2006 silver medalist Lindsey Jacobellis and 2006 U.S. Olympian Nate Holland. Also included in the men’s field are 2009 World bronze medalist Nick Baumgartner and X Games silver medalist Graham Watanabe.
The Canyons event is the second of a three-stop Grand Prix tour, which concludes with a March 4-6 final event at Mammoth Mountain. NBC Sports will show taped coverage of the Mammoth Mountain event on Saturday, March 12, 1-2 p.m. ET.

FIS ALPINE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, SATURDAY, 3 PM ET
NBC Sports presents taped coverage of the FIS Alpine World Championships from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
The FIS Alpine World Championships feature Olympic-caliber world skiers vying for titles in six events including: Super G, Super Combined, Team, Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom. Saturday’s coverage will highlight the women’s slalom, men’s super combined, and men’s and women’s giant slalom.
