IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND A25-54 DEMOGRAPHIC
“THIS WEEK” #2 IN ADULTS 25-54 FOR THIRD WEEK IN A ROW
On February 20, 2011, ABC News’ “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” drew 2.44 million Total Viewers and 850,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.
“This Week” stood as the No. 2 public affairs program in the key adult news demographic on Sunday, topping CBS’ “Face the Nation” with its second-largest advantage of the season in Adults 25-54 (+130,000).
“This Week” improved on both its week-ago and year-ago week numbers in Total Viewers (+10% and +3%, respectively) and Adults 25-54 (+4% and +20%, respectively). Further, “This Week” grew year-to-year for the third straight Sunday in the key adult news demo.
On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down for an exclusive interview with “This Week” anchor Christiane Amanpour to discuss recent political developments in the Middle East and how they could affect the United States. The program included a report from Bob Woodruff in Wisconsin on the labor union debates as well as breaking news reports from Libya and Bahrain. Rep. Steve Southerland (R-Fla), Democratic political strategist Donna Brazile, ABC News’ Jonathan Karl and George Will joined Ms. Amanpour for the roundtable discussion on the heated struggle over state and federal budgets.
Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week.” The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
