TNT is on the verge of renewing according to Variety.
The cable drama is set to end its third season Tuesday -- the first 13 episodes were split into two seasons -- and with stellar critical support and ratings that are nowhere near cable's best, but solid and consistent enough for the Turner net to tolerate, all indications are the skein will be making a return engagement. TNT is likely to make an announcement in the near future.
The story notes that procedural shows are big profit generators for TNT.is produced by Warner Bros, which shares a corporate parent with TNT.
NBC renewedafter a brief first season and then famously canceled the show before airing an episode of the second season.
