Fox News Had Early Quake – Tsunami Coverage Lead, But CNN Overtook At 2am

The cable news networks started their coverage at varying times, but in early coverage Fox News had the lead over CNN.   From 2a-3a (all times eastern) CNN jumped out in front and with better numbers for that hour than any CNN  primetime show Thursday night (its primetime average was 630K total viewers and 208K adults 25-54.

1:12 am – 2:00 am

CNN: 505 total viewers/234k demo 25-54

1:14 am – 2:00 am

FNC:               605 total viewers/271k demo

1:44 am – 2:00 am

MSNBC:         325 total viewers/118k demo

2:00 am

CNN:  976 total viewers/449 demo 25-54
FNC:               722 total viewers/308 demo
MSNBC          394 total viewrs/160 demo
