Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 14, 2011 to March 20, 2011


  • Univision ranked as the fourth most-watched broadcast network for the entire week in primetime among all Adults 18-49 (2.0 million), out-delivering NBC and CW.

  • For the third consecutive week, Univision was the #2 broadcast network in primetime with 1.1 million Adult 18-34 viewers and maintained its fifth-ranked network position with 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+.


  • Univision continued to dominate on Friday nights, finishing as the #1 broadcast network in primetime for the third and tenth consecutive Friday among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.


  • On Friday night, Univision had the top 2 most-watched programs on all of broadcast television with #1 “Eva Luna” and #2 “Triunfo Del Amor” (Triumph of Love”) in the key Adult 18-34 and Adult 18-49 demographic groups.


  • Last week, Univision generated the highest audience growth of any broadcast network in primetime, compared to the same week in 2010 among all Viewers 2+ (+25%) including Adults 18-49 (+23%) and Adults 18-34 (+21%).


  • Univision also out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.


  • On every single weeknight last week, Univision’s “Eva Luna” ranked within the Top 5 most-watched programs on broadcast television, delivering more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of :


ü  ABC’s “Detroit 1-8-7,” “Mr. Sunshine,” “Off The Map,” “Private Practice,” “Supernanny,” “V” and “Wipeout”

ü  CBS’ “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,” “Mad Love” and “Survivor; Redemption Island”

ü  NBC’s “30 Rock,” “Biggest Loser 11,” “Chuck,” “Community,” “The Event,” “Harry’s Law,” “Minute To Win It,” “Outsourced,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Perfect Couples”

ü  FOX’s “Chicago Code,” “Fringe,” “Kitchen Nightmares” and “Traffic Light”

ü  CW’s “America’s Next Top Model-10,” and “Shedding For Wedding”


  • Averaging 1.3 million Adult 18-34 and 2.4 million Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision’s primetime novelas “Eva Luna” and “Triunfo Del Amor” (Triumph of Love) made it the second and fourth highest-rated broadcast network in the respective weeknight hours of 8pm to 9pm and 9pm to 11pm.


  • “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) positioned Univision as the #4 broadcast network among all Adult 18-34 viewers (499,000) with a +60% audience advantage over NBC on Saturday night.


  • Sunday night’s two-hour broadcast of the third episode of the fifth season of Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), which featured a musical performance from Gloria Trevi, averaged 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+13% to 1.6 million) and Adults 18-34 (+16% to 911,000).
