The heavily touted Grey's Anatomy musical episode airs tonight, to great anticipation for some, and dread for others. Presumably for a show in its seventh season, ABC is looking something different to be able to promote, having gone through various life threatening and affirming situations already.
How will it do in the ratings?
There's a reasonably light competitive situation on broadcast tonight, only a new episode of CSI is of any consequence. I wouldn't expect Fox's Mobbed to be much competition, and there are repeats on NBC, and the CW.
Grey's Anatomy has averaged a 3.93 Live + Same Day adults 18-49 rating since January 1 for new episodes, with individual new episode ratings of 4.2, 4.3, 4.3, 3.9, 3.7, 3.4, and 3.7.
Will the audience sing along, or keep quiet?
