Committed, the second season champions of “The Sing-Off,” began their group in 2003 and solidified their sound while attending Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. Their versatility and goal to inspire all they encounter placed them on the major stage of NBC's “The Sing-Off” and they recently performed with legendary gospel singer Mavis Staples to honor General Colin Powell at the 2011 NAACP Image Awards. Committed are in the studio recording their debut album set for release this summer.
“The Sing-Off” averaged more than nine million viewers in its second season to become NBC’s second highest-rated reality competition program. “The Sing-Off” features a cappella groups performing popular songs from various genres, arranged and sung such as audiences have never heard before. There is no lip-synching, back-up band or safety net. Ultimately, America decides the winning group.
