At a fundraiser in New York, when asked if he’d write a book like Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin told Vulture that next season would be the last season for 30 Rock.

“I will tell you one thing,” he said. “And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.”

That’s  not the first time that Baldwin has indicated he’d be out after next year, but it is the first pronouncement that the show itself would end after the 2011-12 season.

“Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”
