Did USA Tip Its Hand on a 'Fairly Legal' Renewal?

Sooner or later USA Network is bound to cancel a show after one season and our friend Ted Linhart (@TedonTV) will have to face the wrath of angry fans on Twitter. But it may be later rather than sooner.

AdWeek's Anthony Crupi speculates that USA tipped its hand on a Fairly Legal renewal when it sent out an announcement Wednesday morning about USA's upcoming upfront meeting on May 2. That announcement (posted below) included the  list of USA stars that would appear at the event and among them were Fairly Legal stars Sarah Shahi and Michael Trucco.

Crupi thinks it's all over but the official press release announcing the renewal. I'm guessing he's right, since the primary purpose of the upfronts is  selling advertising in advance of next season. Sure, it's possible that USA is merely including stars from all of the season's current shows and wouldn't announce any cancellations until after the upfronts, but it seems kinda wacky to invite Fairly Legal's stars to the event and then not sell any advance advertising for the show.

Here's the "unofficial"  announcement...
