NEW YORK, NY—May 1st, 2011— More than 52.3 million Americans tuned in to the networks of NBCUniversal on Friday, April 29th, 2011 for coverage of the Royal Wedding, according to Nielsen Media Research fast data. Royal Wedding programming spanned across NBC News, MSNBC, E!, Access Hollywood and Telemundo, with reports from more than a dozen anchors and correspondents originating from Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey and the streets of London. NBC News also experienced incredible success with its Royal Wedding App and significant social media engagement, while MSNBC.com and E! Online broke records on the web. Overall highlights from Friday, April 29th include:

More than 52.3 million viewers watched Royal Wedding coverage on the networks of NBCUniversal, including NBC News, MSNBC, E!, Access Hollywood and Telemundo
Over 40.8 million viewers tuned into Royal Wedding programming on NBC News, including “Today’s” special live coverage, “NBC Nightly News,” and “Dateline
On Friday, "Today" delivered more than 9.6 million viewers, its biggest single-day delivery in over 11 years, since 11-8-00, the day after the presidential election of George H. W. Bush. "Today II" the third hour, delivered 5.7 million viewers, its best delivery since 2-15-10, the Vancouver Olympics. The fourth hour of "Today" had 3.2 million viewers tune in - its biggest audience since 1-20-09, the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama.
MSNBC.com saw over 18 million video streams— the site’s fifth highest video day ever; and over 200 million pageviews plus views of wedding-related slideshow photos
Nearly 8 million total viewers tuned into E! for royal wedding programming on Friday, which included Live from the Royal Wedding coverage, Will and Kate: Road to the Alter original special and Fashion Police Royal Wedding.
E! Online saw record numbers thanks to its live stream and comprehensive breaking news, photos and video coverage. The site scored over 23 million pageviews, breaking its single day record. Mobile E! Online also reached its highest levels-to-date with 3.1 million views.

With over 23 million page views, E! Online officially broke its record for pageviews in a single day and also drew its second highest visitors and visits at 1.5 million and 1.9 million, respectively. The mobile E! Online site's pageviews also reached its highest levels to date with 3.1 million, bringing the combined total to 23.6 million (excluding mobile App views).
