The summer premiere of ABC’s “101 Ways to Leave a Game Show” is moving to TUESDAY, JUNE 21 at 9:00 p.m., ET. The series premiere of “Expedition Impossible” and Season 2 premiere of “” move to THURSDAY, JUNE 23, at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., ET, respectively. “ ” will air a special original episode June 21, with the season premiere airing June 23, both nights 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET. The premiere of ABC’s new series “Take the Money and Run” moves to TUESDAY, AUGUST 2 at 9:00 p.m., ET.
From the producers of the hit show “” comes “101 Ways to Leave a Game Show”. Based on Endemol’s successful worldwide format, the show will feature contestants competing in one of the most insane game shows in history for a chance to win $50,000. Contestants will match wits in a series of multiple choice questions, with one contestant being eliminated every round. But unlike any other game show in the world, the eliminated contestant will then be ejected from the show in spectacular fashion, i.e., being flown away strapped to the wing of a biplane, pushed off the top of a moving semi, dragged underwater by a one-ton anchor or yanked off a dock by a speed boat. “101 Ways to Leave a Game Show” is hosted by Jeff Sutphen (“BrainSurge”).
“101 Ways to Leave a Game Show” is produced by Endemol USA. Matt Kunitz (“,” “ ”) is executive producer. David Goldberg is the chairman of Endemol North America.
“Expedition Impossible” features 13 teams of three racing in a fun expedition across vast deserts, over snow capped mountains and through raging rivers in the beautifully exotic, fabled Kingdom of Morocco. Each week a new stage of the expedition will be revealed to the teams. Will they crumble under the pressure of having to think clearly in the wilds of the great outdoors, or will they find a way to work together to complete the expedition? After 10 stunning legs of competition with drama, comedy and great characters, one team will cross the finish line first to claim victory. Each winning team member will receive $50,000 ($150,000 total for the team) as well a new Ford Explorer. Adventurer, zoologist, big cat trainer and all around risk taker Dave Salmoni hosts.
“Expedition Impossible” was created by Mark Burnett, who also serves as executive producer with Lisa Hennessy. Both the television show and format will be distributed internationally by Mark Burnett International Distribution.
