With the Wall Street Journal report that Ashton Kutcher will be paid $1 million per Two and a Half Men episode, CBS and Warner Brothers have, besides presumably lowering the crazy level on the show, lowered the cost as well, since Charlie Sheen claimed that he was making $2 million an episode "including the back end". Other reports had his direct per episode payment in the $1.2-1.3 million range.
