The news that OWN - The Oprah Winfrey Network would go dark today from 4-5pm and urge its viewers to instead watch the finale episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was a nice PR move, but since the show that aired in that Wednesday 4pm slot last week, Searching For…, drew just 55,000 average viewers, it won't be noticed by many actual viewers. (the preceding 3pm show, Mystery Diagnosis, averaged 97,000 viewers)

How many were reached by the PR stunt is certainly far larger.

I've got a poll running for folks to guess the finale viewershp for The Oprah Winfrey Show that you should jump into if you're interested.
