Season Three Premiere of CHILDRENS HOSPITAL Results in Healthy Ratings Performance
Adult Swim Comedy #1 in its Timeslot in Key Demo
The Season 3 premiere of Childrens Hospital on Adult Swim last Thursday night at midnight was #1 in its timeslot among adults 18-24 and helped Adult Swim achieve the #1 ad-supported cable network among key young adult demos on Thursday night, according to data from Nielsen Media Research.
Compared to season 1 and 2 of Childrens Hospital (July 11 – Nov. 7, 2010), Childrens Hospital earned double-digit gains among key demos: adults 18-24 delivery (329,000) increased by 46%; adults 18-34 delivery (574,000) increased by 23%; adults 18-49 delivery (860,000) increased by 37%; men 18-24 delivery (179,000) increased by 20%; men 18-34 delivery (322,000) increased by 10%; and men 18-49 (526,000) increased by 35%.
Head of Adult Swim, Mike Lazzo, said, “All this math looks correct to me.”
Childrens Hospital explores the emotional struggles and sexual politics of a group of doctors charged with healthy libidos. Their dedication to their personal lives is relentless, interrupted only by the occasional need to treat sick children. In Season 3, which premieres Thursdays at midnight (ET/PT), series creator and star Rob Corddry is again joined by a cast of comedic geniuses, including Malin Akerman (The Romantics, Wanderlust), Lake Bell (How to Make It in America, No Strings Attached), Erinn Hayes (Parenthood, Worst Week), Rob Huebel (I Love You, Man; Human Giant), Ken Marino (Party Down, Wanderlust), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Party Down) and Henry Winkler (Arrested Development, Happy Days).
The show’s creative team is led by Corddry and fellow executive producers/writers Jonathan Stern (The Ten; NTSF:SD:SUV) and David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer, Wanderlust, Superjail). Childrens Hospital is produced by Abominable Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Television.
