‘Lemonade Mouth’ Sequel Ordered By Disney

Variety is reporting that Disney has greenlit a sequel to the popular movie Lemonade Mouth.

Here are some numbers from the Disney press release following the movie’s premiere in mid-April:

Disney Channel Squeezes Sweet Success with “Lemonade Mouth”

– Cable’s No. 1 Original Movie of 2011 with 5.7 Million Viewers

– Friday’s No. 1 TV Telecast in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14

– No. 1 on iTunes Soundtrack Chart

“Lemonade Mouth” (8:00 – 9:55 p.m.)

Disney Channel Original Movie “Lemonade Mouth” was ripe for the picking Friday night, ranking as the No. 1 TV Telecast among Kids 6-11 (2.3 million/9.4 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.1 million/8.5 rating), and cable’s No. 1 original movie of 2011 among Total Viewers (5.7 million).

The “Lemonade Mouth” soundtrack, released by Walt Disney Records on April 12, fast tracked its way to No. 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack chart and is the No. 4 Album overall. Moreover, hit songs “Somebody,” “Determinate” and “Don’t Ya Wish U Were Us” rank in the Radio Disney Top 30.
