GMC Heads into Summer with Sizzling Q2 Ratings
Record Delivery for Second Quarter
and Month of June; Primetime Ratings Double
ATLANTA, June 28, 2011-- GMC, America’s favorite channel for uplifting music and family entertainment, announced today that it shattered household delivery records for the second quarter, fueled by record delivery across total households and several key demos in June. Total Day ratings for the quarter doubled from 2010.

Ø Total Day homesgrowth is accompanied by strong growth across key demos and dayparts, particularly in Prime and among women: Household Prime ratings doubled to a 0.14 rating and among W18-34 were up by 500%, W18-49 by 100% and W25-54 by 100%. (Source 3)
Ø GMC continues to be a favorite among African Americans. Second quarter Sales Prime Household rating of 0.22 is up 120% from 2Q10. Women are also driving the growth among African Americans with W18-34 up 250%, W18-49 ratings up 150% and W25-54 ratings up 160%. (Source 4)
Ø GMC now reaches 15.3 million viewers per month. (Source 5)
Ø Top shows in the quarter included:
o The Dove Awards was watched by 1.6 million viewers across its first six telecasts. (Source 6)
o GMC Gospel Play She’s Not Our Sister was the most watched Gospel Play premiere yet on GMC with a 0.21 household rating and 212,000 P2+ average audience. (Source 7)
o The GMC cable exclusive series, Heartland with original episodes premiering on Thursdays at 9:00pm hit its highest average audience yet in June of 154,000 P2+. (Source 8)
Earlier this year, GMC introduced new original music series and an expanded slate of GMC World Premiere Movies, GMC World Premiere Gospel Plays and specials to go along with the uplifting and inspirational music content that remains a cornerstone of the network. The expanded original slate was designed to build on the network’s 2010 ratings growth and reinforce GMC’s positioning as the only channel whose programming is 100% values-driven entertainment.
