ANDERSON COOPER GIVES DETAILS ABOUT NEW DAYTIME TALK SHOW
AT PROMAXBDA: THE CONFERENCE 2011
Anderson Cooper described the format of his new syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson, during an appearance Wednesday at PromaxBDA: The Conference 2011 in New York City.
“This is not a news program,” Cooper said. “From a big celebrity interview one day, to a hot-button social issue the next day – and the following day an interview with a real person who has a real-life challenge we can all learn from.”
Cooper added that telling stories that have relevance to viewers’ daily lives has been a favorite component of his broadcast career, and something he can expand upon with Anderson. “I realized that's what I like to do the most, it's when I feel most useful," he said. “In daytime, you can do that pretty much every day.”
Cooper, who was interviewed by The Early Show co-anchor Erica Hill, spoke to content marketing professionals at PromaxBDA: The Conference 2011. The Conference is the world's largest entertainment marketing, promotion and design event attracting industry leaders and executives from top television networks, cable channels, local stations, station groups, distribution, syndication, media and creative agencies, design and emerging media.
PromaxBDA: The Conference 2011 concludes today at the Hilton New York hotel.
