“Necessary Roughness” Premieres to 4.7 Million; “Royal Pains” Returns to 5 Million

Necessary Roughness premiered to a ~1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 4.7 million viewers. A bit off of Suit’s premiere last Thursday with adults 18-49, but it had a few more viewers overall.

Royal Pains premiered to ~1.4 adults 18-49 rating and around 5 million viewers . That’s down from last summer’s premiere on June 3, 2010 which scored a 1.8 rating but was on Thursday at 10pm following Burn Notice,  but up from last winter’s premiere and finale that aired Thursdays at 9pm and averaged a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.

Total Domination on USA with last night’s ROYAL PAINS returning with its third season premiere and the new original series, NECESSARY ROUGHNESS, launching to incredible numbers.

Both shows cracked 2 million in P25-54 and 1.8 million in P18-49.

ROYAL PAINS is up double digits over Winter and

NECESSARY ROUGHNESS held virtually ALL of ROYAL PAINS levels on 25-54 (98%), 18-49 (96%) and also 93% (total viewers).

  • P25-54: 2.1 million (+16% vs. Winter 2011 premiere)
  • P18-49: 1.8 million (+23)
  • Total Viewers:  5 million (+13%)


  • P25-54: 2 million (+29% vs FAIRLY LEGAL Premiere)
  • P18-49: 1.8 million (+28%)
  • Total Viewers:  4.7 million (+20%)
