NEW YORK, NY –August 9, 2011 – VH1 continued to heat up the summer this past Monday evening with two hot season finales that drove the network to its highest of the year. Monday night’s 8:00PM* third season finale of “ ” scored a 1.6 in the key P18-49 demo making it the highest rated VH1 telecast since May 2009 and attracted 2.6 million total viewers. When combined with its 10PM* encore episode, the series brought in 4.6 million total viewers to VH1 Monday night. Across its ten episodes “ ” season three has averaged 3.5 million total viewers for premiere and first encores. “ ” also was just rated the most social primetime program in July according to SocialGuide. The first-ever survey done by SocialGuide, tracks cable networks and its social data sourced (Twitter, Facebook, including total comments, unique commenters, and average followers per unique).
This season of “Basketball Wives” heated up to bring you three times the drama as ever before. Season three was fraught with broken relationships and ever evolving and the sometimes dissolving friendships of Shaunie O’Neal, Meeka Claxton, Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams, Tami Roman, Suzie Ketcham, and Royce Reed. The women also hit the Big Apple and took Italy by storm. At 9:00PM*, the season finale of VH1’s first hour-long scripted series "Single Ladies " also drew a season high impressive 1.4 rating in the key P18-49 demo and 2.2 million total viewers. When combined with its 11PM* encore, “Single Ladies” drew in 3.3 million total viewers. Across its movie and eight premieres, “Single Ladies” averaged 2.9 million total viewers for premiere and first encores. The second season of “Single Ladies” is expected to begin filming in late 2011 and is slated for premiere in 2012.
