LOS ANGELES, August 16, 2011 – Palladia, MTV Networks’ elite high-definition music channel wraps up the summer with the return of “Outdoor Music Week” - its biggest event of the year.  From Monday, August 29 through Monday, September 5, Palladia will give music junkies a front row seat to eight days of premier concerts that will cover the best of hard rock, indie and pop music.  Viewers can watch the hottest outdoor festivals from the comfort of the cool indoors, as Palladia takes viewers around the world to the biggest outdoor concerts of the year!

Palladia’s “Outdoor Music Week” will feature top artists including Beyonce, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, U2, Coldplay, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Bruno Mars, KISS, Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, Black Eyed Peas, Cee Lo Green, The Strokes, Dispatch, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Simon, Taio Cruz,  Foreigner, Big Boi, Panic at the Disco, Train, My Chemical Romance, Ray Davies, Two Door Cinema Club, Beady Eye, The Script, Joe Bonamassa, Nick Lowe,  The Gaslight Anthem, All Time Low, Friendly Fires, BB King, Wu Tang Clan, Adam Ant, Jeff Beck, We Are Scientists, Lissie, Manic Street Preachers, Bright Eyes, Jessie J, and Jimmy Eat World.  Tune in all week long as Palladia brings viewers up close and personal with its “Outdoor Music Week.”

“Hard Rock Calling 2011” Airs at 9PM*

The 6th Annual Hard Rock Calling concert, shot in central London's Hyde Park will feature a 2-hour highlight show showcasing some of rock’s best-known talent including The Killers, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Stevie Nicks, Train, Ray Davies, Adam Ant, and Lissie.  The concert will also give viewers a special treat with the return of Stevie Nicks – her first solo UK performance in 20 years.  Hyde Park is the perfect outdoor setting for these high-energy performances with even more key performances from  Train covering Led Zeppelins “Ramble On,”  Bon Jovi performing “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and Stevie Nicks performing “Edge of Seventeen.”

“High Voltage 2010” Airs at 9PM*

From London’s Victoria Park, some of Rock’s finest headline last year’s high voltage evening including Foreigner, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Asia, The Answer, Joe Bonamassa, Focus, and Magnum.

Wednesday, August 31

“Dispatch Live at Red Bull Arena” Airs at 9PM*

Featuring their latest hits from their summer tour, this rock band trio is back and ready to perform.  A sellout crowd of over 25,000 packed the first ever concert at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey to see the return tour of Dispatch. The band thrilled fans with one of their most memorable concerts to date and highlighted their "Amplifying Education" initiative: a fan driven program to improve the state of education in America. Dispatch Live at Red Bull Arena follows the band behind the scenes while they introduce some of their new songs, while delivering some of the favorites.

“MTV World Stage: KISS” Airs at 9PM*

One of the greatest rock ‘n roll bands on the planet takes the stage once again at Rock AM Ring in Germany and performs some of their biggest hits such as “Rock ‘N Roll All Nite” and “Love Gun.”

Friday, September 2

“Isle of Wight Festival 2011” Airs at 9PM* 

The Isle of Wight Festival was first held from 1968 to 1970, with the 1970 event to be bigger than Woodstock. Since being revived in 2002, the festival has grown rapidly, attracting some of the biggest names in alternative rock.  This year Kings of Leon, Two Door Cinema Club, Beady Eye, Nick Lowe The Script and many more will be performing at the Isle of Wight Park in the U.K.

Saturday, September 3

“Glastonbury Festival 2011” Airs at 9PM*

The 2011 edition of the Glastonbury Festival headlines Palladia’s “Outdoor Music Week,” with a 5 hour highlight show. This year’s line-up includes highlights U2, Beyonce, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Cee Lo Green, Paul Simon Morrissey, Robyn and countless others.  This historic festival, held in the southwest corner of England, is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world and has featured some of the biggest artists in music history over the last 39 years.

“BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2011” Airs at 9PM*

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend is the first major British music festival of the year and always attracts the best UK and worldwide artists. Held in Carlisle England, performers such as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Panic at the Disco, Taio Cruz, Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters and The Strokes will kick off this music festival.

“Oxegen  2011” Airs at 9PM* 

Oxegen 2011 festival in County Kildare, Ireland showcases headlining music artists such as Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World, All Time Low, and Arctic Monkeys. This year marks the 8th annual Oxegen festival, cited as Ireland's biggest with an average attendance of around 90,000 per day.  The festival takes place at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare, Ireland.
