Saturday night’s season premiere of ‘The X Factor’ in the UK averaged 10.5 million viewers on ITV1. That’s down from last year’s season premiere which scored 11.1 million in the overnights, the highest in the show’s history. The show is now in its 8th season, and last night marked the first time it didn’t include Simon Cowell who is busy preparing the U.S. version of the show which launches next month.
