Thursday Cable: 'Jersey Shore' Gets Bigger + NFL, 'Burn Notice,' 'Suits,' 'Project Runway' and the Weather Channel

Jersey Shore was up another up 0.3  with adults 18-49 to a 4.5 rating and up to 8.47 million viewers vs. last week's  7.798 million viewers. It easily led everything on television, broadcast or cable in the ratings. Its 11pm repeat rated as high as anything else on cable, including the NFL preseason game on ESPN.

USA’s Burn Notice was down 0.2 to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and stablemate Suits which had to go head-to-head with Jersey Shore was down 0.3 to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Lifetime's Project Runway was up two-tenths to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and A&E's Beyond Scared Straight was down a tenth from its premiere to a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.

FX’s Wilfred, which also had to battle Jersey show, but was up  0.1  from last week to a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating,. Comedy Central’s Futurama was steady with another 0.7 adults 18-49 rating. LA Ink was down a tenth to a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating.

I left all of the airings of Discovery's Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero.  Ahead of hurricane Irene, interest in the Weather channel was up and several hours of coverage was included in the results we saw. They're included below as well.

Update :Not in the table below but FX's Louie scored a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, steady vs. last week, and 805K viewers from 10:31-11:31p.  Ugly Americans was also steady with a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating to go along with its 819K viewers (via @TVBill).

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100. I attempt to filter out repeats, kids shows, and most non-primetime shows. Also, to limit the size of the list, I list only the top rated airing of each individual show.Will add extras that @TravisYanan reports later below.
