Thursday Cable: 'Jersey Shore' Takes A Hit, Still Dominates, 'Burn Notice,' 'Suits,' 'Wilfred,' 'Futurama' Finales & More

Jersey Shore was back with a new episode, but was likely chop blocked by the NFL kickoff game dropping 0.6 ratings points vs. its last new Thursday episode 2 weeks ago, down to a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating. It still crushed everything else on cable or broadcast not featuring pigskin on Thursday night.

USA’s Burn Notice finale was up 0.2 points vs. last week to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, but stablemate Suits finale which had to go head-to-head with Jersey Shore was down a tenth with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. Note that USA topped its NBCU stablemates in the "pushed onto cable" telecast of the NFL pregame show, but at *far* lower ratings than what NBC would have gotten. That was costly.

Lifetime's Project Runway was down three tenths to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. Football crossover? Hmmm.

A&E's Beyond Scared Straight was up two tenths from last week to a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.

FX’s Wilfred finale which also had to battle Jersey show was down 0.3 ratings points vs. last week to a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Louie finale ratings did not make the top 100 list we see. I will post them later if I see them.

Comedy Central’s Futurama finale was down a tenth to a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100. I attempt to filter out repeats, kids shows, and most non-primetime shows. Also, to limit the size of the list, I list only the top rated airing of each individual show.Will add extras that I see elsewhere into the post later.
