MUN2 ORIGINAL “FROM BEYOND” LEADS WITH DOUBLE DIGIT GROWTH FOR NETWORK IN FIRST TWO WEEKS OF SEPTEMBER
Universal City, CA – September 13, 2011 – mun2, the bilingual cable network, has achieved double-digit growth for the first two weeks in September during Monday-Sunday prime, with its summer break-out original hit “From Beyond” yielding its highest delivery on September 11, since its debut in late July, according to Nielsen Media Research.
“From Beyond” attracted 92,000 total viewers, 69,000 persons 18-49 and 58,000 YLAs (Young Latino Americans, 18-34). The show was the #1 most viewed program on Sunday at 10 p.m. amongst Hispanic cable networks, outperforming Galavision, Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes, Trs3 and GOL TV, as well as English-language music lifestyle channels MTV, MTV2, BET, VH1 and FUSE, among YLAs. The show was also #1 amongst female YLAs among all Hispanic cable networks and English-language music lifestyle channels.
The September 11 episode of “From Beyond” (Ghost &) also tied for the #1 spot with Discovery en Español and beat all other Hispanic cable networks for persons 18-49.
mun2’s original “I Love Jenni” continues to grow the mun2 “You’re On” block (Saturday, 2 p.m.), delivering 115,000 total viewers, 59,000 persons 18-49 and 49,000 YLAs for September 10, resulting in triple digit growth for the first two weeks of September for YLAs. “I Love Jenni” is an original reality series centered on Latin music superstar Jenni Rivera and her family.
“I Love Jenni” was the second most watched show among YLAs compared to music channels during Saturday afternoon, over-delivering MTV2, BET, VH1 and FUSE, and beat Galavision by a margin of 49% among YLAs.
