UNIVISION’S “¡MIRA QUIÉN BAILA!” DANCES ITS WAY TO RATINGS GROWTH IN SECOND SEASON PREMIERE
“¡Mira Quién Baila!” Generates Buzz on Social Media with 16 Million Impressions
MIAMI, FL – SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 – Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, announced today that Sunday night’s second season premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!), a co-production of Univision Studios andEndemol, reached 8.1 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the three-hour broadcast and generated more than 16 million impressions across social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook.
The highly-anticipated premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” delivered an average audience of 4.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 million Adults 18-49, 1.1 million Adults 18-34, 1.3 million Women 18-49 and 1.3 million Persons 12-34. In comparison to the first season premiere, Sunday night’s broadcast delivered audience growth among Women 18-34 (+14%), Women 18-49 (+9%), Persons 12-34 (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+7%), Adults 18-34 (+7%) and Total Viewers 2+ (+3%).
The second season premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” ranked as the second highest-rated U.S. produced reality show on Univision, as well as on Spanish-language television as a whole, among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Men 18-49 and Women 18-49.

- Increased its audience in the last hour compared to the first hour by double-digit margins among all Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+21%), Men 18-49 (+18%) and Women 18-49 (+22%)

“¡Mira Quién Baila!” pairs a group of 10 Hispanic celebrities with aspiring dancers showcasing their moves to a variety of rhythms, including pop, tango, salsa, merengue, disco, cha-cha-cha, rock n’ roll, regional Mexican and urban music. Every week, contestants rotate partners and compete in front of a studio audience, while an expert panel of judges selects the top dancers. The remaining couples will face off, left to be eliminated by the audience’s votes. The winning celebrity at the end of the show’s run will receive $100,000 for their charity of choice. This year’s celebrity contestants include singer Priscila Angel dancing for Trekking for Kids, actress Geraldine Bazán dancing for Big Brothers Big Sisters, actor Alejandro Chaban dancing for Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), professional wrestler Blue Demon Jr. dancing for Shriners Hospitals for Children, actor Erik Estrada dancing for Smile Train, singer Jose Manuel Figueroa dancing for CARE, actress Elizabeth Gutierrez dancing for The Children’s Trust, actress Adamari Lopez dancing for Susan G.
