E!’s “Live from the Red Carpet: The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards” Most Watched Telecast in Five Years
 
 
  • E!’s Live from the Red Carpet: The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 6pm-8pm EST delivered a 1.23 Household rating and attracted over 1.43 million Total Viewers, building +8% in HH rating over last year’s LRC and +3% in Total Viewers. It was the most watched Primetime Emmys LRC in five years and the 4th most watched since 1995.
  • LRC: The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards also delivered year to year increases among key adult and women, averaging 328,000 Women 18-34, up +13% versus last year’s LRC, and 590,000 Women 18-49, up +3% over last year. The E! LRC telecast delivered 415,000 Persons 18-34, up +5% year-to-year, and posted 735,000 Persons 18-49.
  • LRC delivered strong appointment viewing numbers as it more than doubled its Countdown lead-in, building +125% among Total Viewers, and grew an additional +52% with Total Viewers during its own performance from start to finish.
  • Leading into LRC, E!’s Countdown to the Red Carpet: The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5pm-6pm EST drew a .56 Household rating, up +17% versus last year’s Countdown and attracted 636,000 Total Viewers as it out-performed last year by +20%. It was the most watched performance for the Primetime Emmys Countdown ever, edging out the previous high achieved in 2005.
