3Q 2011 Highlights:

 

Powered by its arsenal of hit original series, “Pretty Little Liars,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “Switched At Birth,” cable’s top-rated series launch of the quarter in core female demos, ABC Family delivered its No. 1 quarter on record in 3Q11 in Adults 18-34 (427,000), Women 18-34 (306,000), Women 18-49 (481,000), Viewers 12-34 (693,000) and Females 12-34 (524,000), and its best 3Q ever in Total Viewers (1.43 million) and Adults 18-49 (687,000), surging by double-digit percentages year to year in target measures. In fact, 3Q11 marked the network’s sixth straight quarter growing its Prime audience year to year.

 

  • Year to year, ABC Family posted double-digit percent increases in key demos, including Adults 18-34 (+12% - 427,000 vs. 381,000), Women 18-34 (+13% – 306,000 vs. 272,000), Viewers 12-34 (+13% - 693,000 vs. 614,000) and Females 12-34 (+16% - 524,000 vs. 452,000).

 

  • ABC Family earned its highest competitive quarter ranks in the network’s history, placing No. 2 in Women 18-34, and No. 3 in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-49.

 

  • ABC Family closed out 3Q11 delivering its most-watched September ever in Prime in Adults 18-34 (358,000), Women 18-34 (261,000), Adults 18-49 (574,000), Women 18-49 (405,000) and Females 12-34 (424,000).

 

  • Notably, ABC Family has grown its audience year to year for 8 consecutive months in key 18-34s, and for 7 straight months in Women 18-49 and Females 12-34.

  • Original movie “Cyberbully” stood as cable’s No. 1 movie in Females 12-34 (1.72 million/3.7 rating) and Female Teens (1.04 million/8.7 rating), and the No. 2 cable movie in Women 18-34 (678,000/2.0 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.10 million/1.7 rating).
