CBS NEWS' "FACE THE NATION" IS THE #1 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
"FACE THE NATION" BEAT "MEET THE PRESS" IN VIEWERS AND FINISHED FIRST IN KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
CBS Is Up +6% in Households, +7% in Viewers, +17% in Adults 25-54 and
+13% in "Boomers," Year-to-Year
CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 public affairs show, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, September 25. FACE THE NATION posted a 1.8/05 with 2.52m viewers and 0.7/03 in adults 25-54. FACE THE NATION was first in viewers, beating NBC by +31,000. FACE THE NATION was first in viewers against both "Meet the Press" and "This Week" for the first time since March 13, 2011.
FACE THE NATION was also first in adults 25-54, boomers and tied for first (with NBC) in households among the Sunday morning public affairs programs.
Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +6% in households (from 1.7/05), +7% in viewers (from 2.36m), +17% in adults 25-54 (from 0.6/03) and +13% in "boomers" adults 35-54 (0.9/04 from 0.8/03).
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, Mark Zandi, Chief Economist for Moody’s Analytics, CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Norah O’Donnell and CBS News Political Analyst John Dickerson.
