From week one to week two of the new broadcast season, Fox's rookie shows have seen the smallest week to week adults 18-49 ratings declines of any other newcomers.

But, as a wise PR Jedi notes, the third week ratings for a rookie show are key. Week 2 declines are a given, but a show that stabilizes in week 3 can be around for the long haul, those that continue to decline in week 3 are often not long for the air.

via Fox press note:

New Shows -- Week 1 vs. Week 2 declines for Adults 18-49 ratings
· New Girl: -6%
· The X Factor (Wed and Thurs combined): -10%
· Person Of Interest: -13%
· Unforgettable: -14%
· Prime Suspect: -17%
· Revenge: -18%
· Playboy Club: -19%
· Whitney: -24%
· Charlie’s Angels: -29%
· Up All Night: -35%
· 2 Broke Girls: -35%
· Free Agents: -38%

And I'm in before a clever commenter notes that by putting this out today, week to week comparisons of Terra Nova are avoided. ;)
