After temporary pulling the Hank Williams, Jr. ‘Are Your Ready for Some Football?’ open from Monday Night Football earlier this week due to comments Williams made on Fox News Channel’s ‘Fox & Friends,’  ESPN is cancelling the Williams open permanently issuing the following statement:

“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years.  The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”

On Fox & Friends Williams said that Obama playing golf with House Speaker John Boehner was like Hitler playing with Benjamin Netanyahu. While it can be argued that Williams didn’t really compare Obama to Hitler, ESPN decided parting ways was the best option.
