Through the first three weeks of the 2011-12 TV season, CBS has the season to date lead among adults 18-49 with a 3.4 average(up 3% vs. last season). FOX is in second place with a 3.1 rating average (up 11%). ABC (down 4%) and NBC (down 7%) are tied in third with a 2.6 rating average. Univision is in fifth with a 1.7 rating average (up 6%). CW is sixth with a 0.8 rating average (down 33%).
For press release writers and other fans of total viewership averages, CBS is comfortably leading through two weeks averaging 12.78 million viewers. ABC is second with 9.42m, followed by Fox with 8.05m, NBC with 7.59m, Univision with 3.90m and CW with 1.89 million.
Note that these season to date ratings are "Most Current" which is a combination of Live + 7 Day DVR viewing for weeks more than 2 weeks ago and Live + Same Day DVR viewing for the immediately preceding 2 weeks.
