Soccer on ESPN Platforms: 23 Matches; Matchup of Premier League’s Two Most Successful Teams; Two Weekend MLS Matches
ESPN’s media platforms (ESPN3, ESPN Deportes and ESPN2) will feature 23 live soccer matches, mostly from seven leagues Friday, Oct. 14 – Tuesday, Oct. 18. Highlights:
- Friday’s MLS action features a matchup between the last two teams to win the MLS Cup – Defending MLS Cup Champions Colorado Rapids hosting Real Salt Lake, MLS Cup winners in 2009 – live from Commerce City, Colo., at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes
- Barclays Premier League: Two of the most successful teams in the Premiership – Liverpool (18 titles) vs.Manchester United (19) – will be the featured match on ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes live on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 a.m.
- Italian Serie A matches, exclusive on ESPN3, will include Catania vs. Inter Milan and AC Milan vs. Palermo, both on Saturday, Oct. 15.
- On Sunday, Oct. 16, at 9 p.m., the Los Angeles Galaxy with David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Robbie Kean will face vs. Chivas USA with striker Juan Pablo Angel in the second leg of the Super Classico on ESPN, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes.
